vmsa — use the VERITAS Volume Manager Storage Administrator to administer objects
SYNOPSIS
vmsa
[-r|-V|-h]
[machine_names]
DESCRIPTION
The
vmsa
utility starts the VERITAS Volume Manager Storage Administrator (VMSA)
graphical user interface.
Administrators can use the Storage Administrator to administer
Volume Manager objects, disks, and file systems.
The
vmsa
client can be run on the local machine or on a remote machine.
machine_name is an optional colon (:) separated list of the UNIX machines
to be administered. The client will automatically attempt to connect to all
machines in the list.
The Volume Manager Storage Administrator server (vmsa_server)
and the Volume Manager configuration daemon (vxconfigd)
must be running on the machines to be administered.
Online help is available with the
vmsa
utility.
To access help for any component of the interface, click the
Help button located on a window's menu bar or in a dialog box.
OPTIONS
- -r
Enable read-only mode. Server-side tasks will not be executed.
Read-only mode cannot be disabled when this option is used.
- -V
Print the Volume Manager Storage Administrator release number
to stdout.
- -h
Print the help message.
