NAME

vmsa — use the VERITAS Volume Manager Storage Administrator to administer objects

SYNOPSIS

vmsa [-r|-V|-h] [machine_names]

DESCRIPTION

The vmsa utility starts the VERITAS Volume Manager Storage Administrator (VMSA) graphical user interface. Administrators can use the Storage Administrator to administer Volume Manager objects, disks, and file systems.

The vmsa client can be run on the local machine or on a remote machine. machine_name is an optional colon (:) separated list of the UNIX machines to be administered. The client will automatically attempt to connect to all machines in the list. The Volume Manager Storage Administrator server (vmsa_server) and the Volume Manager configuration daemon (vxconfigd) must be running on the machines to be administered.

Online help is available with the vmsa utility. To access help for any component of the interface, click the Help button located on a window's menu bar or in a dialog box.
