When you view a list of available printer queues, you can determine where to send a print job, or you can monitor jobs that you sent to a particular queue.

You cannot view the queue of an MS-DOS workstation running the LAN Manager Print Station utility.

To view printer queues and their print jobs

  1. Set the current focus on the server sharing the printer queue that you want to view.

  2. From the View menu, choose Printer queues.

The Print Queues on \\computername dialog box appears.

The Print Queues on \\computername dialog box displays the name, the number of waiting print jobs, and the status of each queue on the server you specified. Each print job is identified with a line containing the username, job number (assigned by the server), size of the job (in bytes), and status of the job.

When the list box containing the information about printer queues is more than one page long, scroll through the list to view its entire contents.

  3. Choose the Done button.
