If you are adding another LAN card or are adding and configuring a token ring network in addition to your first network, follow the instructions provided below for adding a network. Refer to Chapter 3 and the File Server Worksheet for information on the Add a Network parameters.

Add a Token Ring Network

You can add a token ring network as follows:

  1. Log into the system as root.

  2. At the HP-UX prompt, type: sam

  3. Double click Networking and Communications at the SAM main window.

  4. Double click NetWare at the Networking and Communications window.

  5. Double click Networking Configuration at the NetWare window to go to Transport Configuration.

  6. Add a Network. Choose Add from the "Actions" menu to open the Add an IPX Network window.

Add a Second Network Configuration

When you add another LAN card to your system, you must configure another network for NetWare 9000 using the SAM "Add a Network" function.
