After installing the OpenPix software, whether separately
or as part of the Domain Commerce bundle installation, you need
to initialize the software before you can use the OpenPix Service
Manager to create a server instance.
The installation process creates an NES server instance to
be used by the OpenPix Service Manager (OSM). You use this NES instance
to set security and other options for the OSM. See Chapter 3 for
information about setting OSM security options and using the OSM
to create and manage ImageIgniter server instances.
During the initialization process, you are asked to agree
to the software license terms. You must agree to the license terms
before you can proceed with the installation.
You are also provided with the URL of the OSM. The URL will
follow this pattern:
http://<host name>:17491/OSM |
To initialize the OpenPix software |
 |
Change to the OpenPix Admin directory (normally
/opt/ns-enterprise3/https-OpxAdm).
Enter ./start.
If you entered Yes, the URL of the OpenPix Service Manager
(OSM) is displayed. You use the OSM to create and manage server
instances.
