After installing the OpenPix software, you need to create
one or more ImageIgniter server instances to work with the web servers
on the host computer. Each NES instance on the host requires its
own ImageIgniter instance.
After its creation, an ImageIgniter server requires a minimum
of maintenance. It's a good idea, however, to monitor the
server's activity and status.
You use the OpenPix Service Manager (OSM), a web-base application
that can be accessed remotely or locally, to create and administer
ImageIgniter servers. You can monitor system status, change configuration
settings, perform diagnostics, and check version information. You
can also import configuration settings from NT versions of OpenPix.
For additional functionality, you can add Image Reporter and
log analysis features to the OSM. For more information, see the
