The OSM is protected by password. To set up password protection,
use the NES Administrative tool to create a user called OpxAdmin.
Assign that user any password you choose. When you open the OSM
in a browser, you are prompted for a user name and password. Enter
OpxAdmin as the user name along with the password you chose.
For deployed systems, we recommend securing access to the
OSM with Secure Socket Layers (SSL). This means getting a certificate
and configuring the virtual path to OpxAdm to require SSL.
An additional security feature prevents unauthorized use of
the OSM in case you accidentally leave it open after you're
finished. After 20 minutes, the OSM returns to the login page and
prompts you to reenter your user name and password. You are unable
to continue your session until you do so.
