Selecting a Server Instance

Because more than one ImageIgniter server instance can exist on a single host, you need to identify which instance you want to work with in the OSM. The OpenPix Service Manager Login page, the first page displayed when you open the OSM, contains a list with all the ImageIgniter instances on this host. (If there is only one instance, only one choice appears in the list.) Instances are listed by the name of the web server with which they are associated.

	NOTE: The first time you open the OSM, no instances are listed. You need to add an OpenPix instance as described in the previous section, “Creating ImageIgniter Instances”

You can switch instances after opening the OSM. See “Changing Instances” later in this chapter for instructions.

To select an ImageIgniter instance

• In the OpenPix Service Manager Login page, select the ImageIgniter instance you want to administer, then click the "Use selected OpenPix Server instance" button.
