ipsec_admin -newpasswd

The password must be at least 15 characters long and can contain blanks.

If you run the ipsec_admin command without first setting the password, the following prompt appears:

You can set the password at this time.

NOTE: VirtualVault

You must have an account on VirtualVault that possesses the netadmin command authorization. The vaultadm account typically created while installing VirtualVault does possess this authorization.

Forget your password?

If so, complete the following steps:

  1. Remove /var/adm/ipsec/.ipsec_info from your system.

  2. Revoke any certificates from the Certificate Authority (CA).

  3. Re-install the product.

  4. Recreate the lost configuration information.
