Personal information (“gecos” information), such as full name, phone number, and location, can be changed with the chfn(1) command which changes /etc/passwd. The login shell can be changed with the chsh(1) command, which also changes /etc/passwd. Refer to the LDAP-UX Client Services Release Notes to determine if these commands change entries in the directory with this release.

You can use the Active Directory Users and Computers tool or the ldapmodify command to change personal information, or you can use a simple LDAP gateway through a Web browser to display and change this information.
