The July 2003 release of Ethernet provided modifications including:

  • IEther-00 driver software bundle for HP-UX 11.23.

  • GigEther-00 driver software bundle for HP-UX 11.23.

  • GigEther-01 driver software bundle for HP-UX 11.23.

  • On HP-UX 11.23, all 3 Gigabit Ethernet drivers support the MTU range of 1024 through 9000. On HP-UX 11i v1, the iether driver supported an MTU range from 257 - 9000, while the gelan and igelan drivers only supported two MTUs: 1500 or 9000.

  • Fast Ethernet supports a range of MTUs from 257 to 1500
