If you are connecting the HP RAID 4Si controller to an HP
SureStore E SC10 JBOD, you must set the DIP switches on each SC10
enclosure, as follows:
Set DIP switch 1 according
to the bus mode you want the JBOD to be in, as shown in Table 2-3 “SC10 DIP Switch 1 Settings” below.

Ensure that DIP switch 2 is set
to 1 (JBOD mode [sometimes also called SES mode]). Note that it must
always be set to 1 (and it must never be
in SAF-TE mode [set to 0]).
