Following are some optional but recommended queue configuration techniques:

  • Ideally, attach each queue to a different CPU using the intctl command to do interrupt migration. By default, queues are assigned to CPUs in a round-robin manner. To learn how to use this command, see the intctl man page.

  • Assign a different IP address to each queue and then distribute application network traffic across these VLANs.
