The HP-UX system administration command, swinstall, installs and configure software products.

The swinstall command installs software selections from a software source to either the local host or to one or more target selections (that is, root filesystems).   By default, the software is configured for use on the target after it is installed.   However, the software is not configured when installed into an alternate root directory.
