3PAR was pursuing its second SPC-1 Benchmark™ and wanted to complete it using an HP N-Class running HP-UX. The Java™-based SPC-1 Benchmark™, an industry-standard performance benchmark test for storage devices, needed to be deployed on HP-UX. 3PAR turned to HP for help. HP's Java™ patches and tools were easy to find, install, and use. (February 2003)
