Create New Server Connection

The Create New Server Connection screen allows you to identify a Mobile AAA installation.

Name

The identifying string of a remote server.

Domain Name or IP Address

The IP address (in dotted-quad notation) or  valid Domain Name System (DNS) host name of the Mobile AAA server that the connection maps to.

Selecting the Cancel button will return you to the Connected Servers screen. Selecting the Create button will Create the selected server connection.

Modifying a Server Connection

Selecting the Notepad and pencil icon or server name from the Connected Servers screen will display the Modify Server Connection screen.

The Server Connections attributes section of the form includes a list of pathnames that can not be modified. These pathnames must match the installation directories of the remote server. In addition, the Server Domain Name and Server Domain Realm must be specified. The following describes each:

Server Domain Name

By default, the server discovers its FQDN by calling gethostname(), but sometimes systems are administered so that an abbreviated name rather than the FQDN is returned.  This switch specifies an override to gethostname() so that full domain is returned.

Server Domain Realm

Defaults to whatever follows the first dot in the server's FQDN.Selecting the Cancel button will return you to the Connected Servers screen. Selecting the Modify button will modify the selected server connection.
