Testing the Server

Start the server.

Because some of the server’s utilities can only be run in a terminal window, you must access the  Mobile AAA server (that you are testing) locally or telnet to it.

cd to the directory where the server's utilities were installed.
(/opt/aaa/diameter/bin by default)

Check the server status with diamstatus.

	NOTE: You can run diamstatus from the command line or by selecting Status button on the Mobile AAA Server Manager Administration screen.

A message will appear that will summarize configuration information and status. If the server is operational, the final line in the message will be:

"HP-UX Mobile AAA Server is Running"

If your server configuration does not pass diamstatus successfully you may have problems with an incomplete or incorrect clients file configuration.

Use the diamTestClient utility to perform more extensive testing.
