Mobile AAA configuration files consist of one or more entries. When accessing these files through the Mobile AAA Server Manager interface, the initial screen lists each existing entry and provides controls that open HTML forms. You can write additions and changes to the Mobile AAA server’s configuration files by entering values in these forms and submitting them to the program.

Most of the fields in the HTML forms are text boxes that allow you to enter information following the configuration file syntax for a particular parameter. Fields with bold labels require values for a complete configuration. In some cases, a field may only allow you to specify a fixed set of values from a drop-down list.

The Mobile AAA Server Manager program stores configuration changes, but does not immediately send them to a remote server. Initially, when you access the configuration screens for an item (peer, realm, users, or server properties), a local copy of the corresponding configuration file is created from the remote server’s configuration. If more than one server connection exists, the interface will display a prompt that allows you to select the server to create the local copy from or to use an existing local copy. Each configuration screen that lists entries includes a Save button to save changes for that item to one or more remote servers. If more than one server connection exists, the interface will display a prompt that allows you to select which servers to save the configuration changes to.

NOTE: If you do not wish to save changes that have been made, you can revert to a previous copy. Access the configuration screens for a different item and then return to the original item’s configuration screens. When prompted to select a server to pull a configuration file from, select the original server that the local copy was created from. The prompt will indicate which server the local copy was created from.

Configuration modifications are only active after the changes have been saved to a server, and after the server has been stopped and then started again from the Administration screen.

IMPORTANT: More than one administrator will not be able to edit the server’s configuration files at the same time. After you access the configuration screens for a functional area (realm, users, etc.), the Mobile AAA Server Manager interface will not allow others to access that functional area until you have saved any changes or moved to a different item. If you leave the configuration screens for that item without saving, another administrator can acquire a lock on the item and will have the choice to continue your work (continue working on the local copy of the configuration file) or start over (redownload the configuration file from a server).
