You can modify server variables to override built-in defaults. Modify the following values by clicking on the Server Properties link in the Server Manager navigation tree. Change will be reflected in /etc/opt/aaa/diameter/aaa.config

Modifying a Server Variable

When modifying a server variable, you supply a value for the parameter through a Server Properties fields.

Minimum Session Timeout

Minimum value for the Session-Timeout A-V pair in AMA and HAR messages.

Minimum Authorization Lifetime

Minimum value for Authorization-Lifetime A-V pair in AMA and HAR messages.

Minimum Key Lifetime

Minimum value for default-MIP-Key-Lifetime A-V pair in AMA and HAR messages.

Default Session Timeout

Default value for the Session-Timeout A-V pair in AMA and HAR messages.

Default Authorization Lifetime

Default value for Authorization-Lifetime A-V pair in AMA and HAR messages.

Default Key Lifetime

Default value for default-MIP-Key-Lifetime A-V pair in AMA and HAR messages.

Default Authorization Grace Period

Default value for Authorization-Grace-Period A-V pair in AMA and HAR messages.

Default Algorithm Type

Default value for the MIP-Algorithm-Type A-V pair in the MIP-XX-to-YY-Key A-V pairs of AMA and HAR messages. Valid values are “MD5-Prefix-plus-Suffix-Mode,” and “HMAC-MD5,” and HMAC-SHA-1”

Default Replay Mode

Default value for the MIP-Replay-Mode A-V pair, in the MIP-XX-to-YY-Key A-V pairs of AMA and HAR messages. Valid values are “None,” “Timestamps,” and “Nonces.”

Default Reply Holdtime

Time that AMAs are held after being sent, in seconds, for duplicate detection

Home Server Allocates Home Agents

Indicates whether the home server will allocate a home agent on behalf of the mobile node, if dynamic allocation of a home agent was requested in the AA-Mobile-Node-Request. Valid values are Yes and No.

Foreign Server Allocates Home Agents

Indicates whether the foreign server will offer to allocate a home agent in the visited network, if the AA-Mobile-Node-Request requests that a home agent be assigned and also indicates the home agent may be allocated in either the visited or home network. Valid values are Yes and No.

Home Server Always Generates Keys

This parameter indicates if the home server always generates all the requested keys, even if the home agent is allocated in the foreign network (when the foreign server is supposed to generate the FA-HA key). Valid values are Yes and No.

Home Server Accepts Home Agents from Foreign Networks

Indicates whether the home server will allow the user to have a home agent in the foreign network, if the foreign server has offered to allocate a home agent for the mobile node. Valid values are Yes and No.

Home Server Retains Home Agents from Foreign Networks

Indicates whether the home server will allow the mobile node, upon moving to a new domain, to retain the previously assigned home agent in the previously visited network. Valid values are Yes and No.

Foreign Server Retains Home Agents from Foreign Networks

Indicates whether the foreign server in the previously visited network will allow the mobile node, upon moving to a new domain, to retain the previously assigned home agent in the previously visited network. Valid values are Yes and No.

Default Request Timeout

Timeout for forwarded requests, in seconds.

Check for Expired Sessions Interval

How often, in seconds, to check the session information for expired timers (Session-Timeout and Authorization-Lifetime).

Update Active Sessions Interval

How often, in seconds, that the session information is updated.

Generate Session History

Enables or disables logging session information to a binary file. This information can be accessed through the diamsesstab command-line utility.
