The log.config file contains configuration information that specifies how the accounting message logging occurs in the server.

IMPORTANT: Configuration files have maximum input line length of 255 characters. No checking is done to insure that a configuration statement has not exceeded this limit. In addition, all configuration files must end with a new line.

Syntax of a Stream Entry

stream                diameter_accounting    {
   aatv        log_diam
filename    string
}
end

filename defines the naming convention for accounting log files and the frequency that a new time-stamped file is generated. This parameter follows the same format as the format parameter of the strftime command. A new time-stamped file will be generated according to the shortest unit of time indicated by the parameter. For a complete description of the session log format and recorded values, see the "Logging and Monitoring" chapter in this guide.
