Chapter 1 Introduction to HP Integrity VM Manager

VM Manager is the graphical user interface (GUI) for HP Integrity Virtual Machines (also called Integrity VM).

The VM Host system administrator uses VM Manager to create, manage, and monitor Integrity VM.

The VM Manager provides graphical views of virtual-to-physical network and storage so you can visualize resources assigned to virtual machines. VM Manager lets you view all virtual machines in a VM Host, including resource utilization information.

VM Manager is available from either the HP-UX Host System Management Homepage (SMH) or through seamless integration with VSE Management Software components in the HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM) on the Central Management Station (CMS). 	NOTE: Integrity VM must be installed before VM Manager can run. Refer to the HP Integrity Virtual Machines Installation, Configuration, and Administration manual for installation information.
