If you update the VSE CMS to version A.03.00.01 without
upgrading the gWLM agent software on some of your managed systems,
you should plan to upgrade those agents when it is convenient to do
so. To upgrade the gWLM agent after you have already updated the CMS,
use the following procedure. Undeploy
the SRDs that are managing systems where agents are going to be upgraded.
Stop using the existing version of gWLM, including the command-line
interface. It is okay to continue running the gWLM daemons (gwlmcmsd and gwlmagent) and the WBEM
service and provider daemons. Install
and start the agents as described in “Installing VSE Agent Software on Managed Systems”. For
any partition-based SRDs, follow the steps described in “Rediscover Partition-Based SRDs”.
For SRDs based on psets, FSS groups, or virtual machines, redeploy
those SRDs.
