The following configuration requirements must be met to use the watch feature:

  • The .zlnk file used to create the .zabs file being used must include monitor.zrel.

Note that monitor.zrel is included in all .zlnk files that are provided by the ACC base product, and is therefore available via all .zabs files that are provided.

  • The ttgen .answ file that corresponds to the .tmem file used to start zmon must have a MONITOR terminal entry per interface card. The following example is for mux 3:

    Term 123 3:7 MONITOR 0000h:0000h 01,0,0,0,0 ”Test Monitor terminal”

Note that only one such terminal should be configured per interface card, and only interface cards making use of this feature should have this entry.

The ZLU parameter (shown as 123 here) must be unique among all Term entries in the file.

The mux entry (shown as 3 here) must have been defined previously in a Mux interface statement.

The port parameter (shown as 7 here) is arbitrary, but it must be in the range 0 to 7.

All of the remaining parameters, with the exception of the comment, must be given as shown.

NOTE: The port referenced in the MONITOR terminal entry is not used for communication between WATCH and MONITOR, but it must be present nevertheless.
