Before configuring your X.25/ACC Mux Subsystem, you should
consider the following configuration constraints.
Table 3-1 Constraint Table
Configuration Constraint | No. of Ports |
|---|
8-Ch |
|---|
Max. No. Cards per System[1] | 48 |
Max. No. Ports per Card | 8 |
Max. No. Subchannels per Port | 1 |
Max. No. Links per System | 480 |
Max. No. X.25 Links per Card[2] | 8 |
Max. No. Virtual Circuits per X.25 Link[3] | 254/1023 |
Max. No. X.25 Virtual Circuits per Card | 2032/8184 |
Max. No. X.25 Virtual Circuits per System[4] | 16,256 |
The above numbers are theoretical limits and may imply a throughput greater
than what the operating system and X.25/ACC system can actually
handle. The above numbers are for planning purposes only.
If you subscribe to a public network, the network provider
must identify the proper settings for all of the Level 2 and most
of the Level 3 parameters. These values differ between network providers
and the type of service to which you subscribe. Refer to your network
subscription to determine the correct values to enter for your configuration.
Note that these constraints only apply to the X.25/ACC product.
These constraints do not necessarily apply when the low-level programmatic interface
provided with the ACC product is used.
