Install the ACC Mux card or cards on your HP 9000 computer according to the instructions in the appropriate ACC Multiplexer Hardware Installation and Reference Manual. We highly recommend that you install the hardware before the ACC software is installed. The ACC installation process creates ttgen configuration files based on the actual locations of installed ACC Mux cards.

NOTE: If the system will only run application programs using the ZCOM application interface to access ACC Mux cards on remote systems, you do not need to install any ACC Interface cards on your local system.

T1/E1 Interfaces

The Z7300A ACC Mux card supports several different T1/E1 interfaces. Each of these interfaces has a different physical connector and different line termination. For this reason, the interface card is shipped with a kit of plug-in resistor modules (SIPs). Select and install the appropriate resistor pack to correspond with the desired interface configuration.

Adding or Moving Mux Cards

If any ACC interface cards are added to the system or moved within the system after the ACC base product is installed, the sample loopback configuration file will need to be updated. See “Adding or Moving Hardware After Installation” for detailed information.
