Hewlett-Packard's Multiprotocol Advanced Communications Controller (ACC) is a wide area networking product for the HP 9000 family of computer systems.

This manual explains how to install and configure the ACC product, and provides an introduction to configuring the ACC for use with various protocols. It contains information for both first-time ACC software installation and ACC software updates.

This manual applies to the HP Advanced Communications Controller product line as follows:

  • The ACC Base Software product. Protocol modules and ACC hardware are ordered separately from this product.

  • The HP ACC and X.25/9000 Software Bundle (X.25/ACC) product, which includes the ACC Base Software, ACC X.25/9000 Link Software and the J2793B X.25/9000 product as a complete X.25/ACC software bundle.

This manual should be used in conjunction with the X.25/ACC Installation and Configuration Guide.

This manual uses the term ACC to refer to the Advanced Communications Controller product.

This manual uses the terms ACC Multiprotocol Interface Card, ACC Mux (Interface) Card, ACC Card, and Mux Card (or mux card) to refer to the pertinent interface card that is provided in one of the ACC products.
