If you use ISDN/SAM to create your configuration files, you should not receive any of the ISDN config daemon error messages. However, if you do receive an ISDN config daemon error or information message, it should be self explanatory.

Try to correct the problem by examining the error message first. If you are still unable to solve the problem, contact your HP representative. The following are some examples:

isdnconfd 6115 No record keyword (position=<#> line=<#>) in <filetype> file=<filename>.

Explanation:

No record keyword in file.

Action:

Check the file <filename>, at position=<#> line=<#> and correct the problem, or contact your HP representative.

isdnconfd 6403 Invalid line impedance at file=<filename> line=<#> position=<#>.

Explanation:

Invalid line impedance option at file <filename> line=<#> position=<#>.

Action:

Check the file <filename>, at position=<#> line=<#> and correct the problem, or contact your HP representative.

isdnconfd 6508 isdnconfd: Error occurred trying to open device file, <device filename>, to write the X.25 Address Mapping table to the ISDN driver. Errno <#>: <reason>.

Explanation:

Failed on write the X.25 Address Mapping table to the ISDN driver.

Action:

Check the system error and correct the problem, or contact your HP representative.

isdnconfd 6606 <reason>: Error occurred on ZCOM zread() call for startup response message. Zero-length message received. Runstring: <reason> Pid from fork: <#>.

Explanation:

Failed on ZCOM zread() call.

Action:

Check the ZCOM error and correct the problem, or contact your HP representative.
