	protocol l2 lap/lapb/lapbe/lapd/hdlc/sdlc l3 x25/q931

Description

Entering the protocol command without arguments displays the current Level 2 and Level 3 protocol selection.

This command lets you specify a level 2 or level 3 protocol for analysis and display. It is usually followed by use of the run, runc or display command.

The function of the protocol command is also implemented in the form of an option to the run and runc commands. When you use run or runc with the -f option, to immediately monitor the data, you can use the -p option, with the parameters specified below, to select the level 2 and level 3 protocol decoding to be used.
