Install the ACC Mux interface card or cards on your HP 9000 computer according to the directions in the appropriate ACC Multiplexer Hardware Installation and Reference Manual.

NOTE: ACC cards are not required to be present in the system when the X.25/ACC software is installed. However, it is suggested that the hardware be installed before the X.25/ACC software is to be installed.

The ACC Mux interface card(s) will be automatically configured into the system, when the system is rebooted after installation of the card(s). If the pre-bundled X.25/ACC product is being installed, the process of running swinstall will automatically generate sample configuration files (loopback.answ and x25_loop.answ) based on the hardware location. If the ACC X.25/9000 Link Software is being installed, running swinstall will generate the needed x25_loop.answ configuration file. (The loopback.answ file was created with installation of the ACC base product.)

NOTE: The Z7300A and Z7330A 4-Channel Multiplexer interface cards may require installation of impedance-matching resistor modules according to the desired line mode. If the selected mode does not match the default Port-Definition statement in the x25_loop.answ file created at installation, you should edit the file to reflect the selected mode. See Appendix C “Utilities, Servers, and Scripts”

If any ACC interface cards are moved within the system or added to the system after the ACC base product or the pre-bundled X.25/ACC product is installed, the sample loopback configuration file will need to be updated accordingly. “Adding or Moving Hardware After Installation”.
