TTGEN is a utility that is used to configure the Message System portion of the ZCOM Mux Subsystem. The user provides a TTGEN configuration file which describes the characteristics of how the ACC Mux and its ports are to be used, and then TTGEN is used to build tables which are used by the ZCOM Mux subsystem.

A complete description of the TTGEN utility and the TTGEN configuration file parameters can be found in the ACC Utilities Reference Guide. The following sections provide a summary of the TTGEN parameters as they are to be configured when the ZCOM Mux Subsystem is used in conjunction with the X.25/ACC product.

A sample TTGEN configuration file, /opt/acc/cfg/x25_loop.answ is provided when the X.25/ACC product is installed. A sample file is also shown in Appendix C “Utilities, Servers, and Scripts”

Refer to Appendix F for an ACC Service Guard cluster control script sample file that uses the n2z_pcfg utility.

The TTGEN Configuration File parameters can be divided into the following types:

  • Configuration parameters which are global to the ZCOM Message System portion of the ZCOM Mux Subsystem

  • Interface definition parameters which are specific to each ACC Mux card

  • Port definition parameters which are specific to each port on an ACC Mux card

  • Terminal definition parameters, which are specific to each “terminal” on the system. In the context of the ZCOM Mux Subsystem, Level 2 and Level 3 X.25 connections, (i.e., the X.25 lines and their respective virtual circuits), are referred to as “terminals”.

The following sections describe each of these parameter types.
