As of the September 1999 release, the name of the Diagnostic/IPR Media has been changed to Support Plus Media.In addition, the format has changed so that there is a separate CD-ROM for each version of the operating system (HP-UX 10.20 and HP-UX 11.0). Each CD-ROM will now contain both the Diagnostics and the Current Extension Software (bundles of tested patches).
In most other ways, the Support Plus Media is similar to the old Diagnostic/IPR Media. The Support Plus Media is the distribution media for the OnlineDiag swinstall bundle, just as the Diagnostic/IPR Media was. The OnlineDiag swinstall bundle contains:
The OnlineDiag swinstall bundle is located in the same location on the Support Plus Media as it was on the Diagnostic/IPR Media, namely:
- Support Tools Manager (STM) (HP-UX 10.20 and 11.x only)
- EMS Hardware Monitors (HP-UX 10.20 and 11.x only)
- HP Predictive Support tools (Series 800 only)
- LIF-resident offline diagnostics (ODE) (HP-UX 10.x and 11.x)
<mount_point>/DIAGNOSTICS/B.xx.xxwhere xx.xx is 10.20 or 11.00, depending on which OS release your system is running.In addiion, the Support Plus Media, like the Diagnostic/IPR Media, is the platform for running offline diagnostics for all PA-RISC systems.
Support Tools for HP-UX 10.01, 10.10, or 10.30
