Major Changes: This is the same release as A.17.00 and A.17.05 but with fixes to several problems. The main problem fixed is that on A.17.00 and A.17.05, the diagnostic daemon "diagmond" can use a large percentage (between 10% and 15%) of the CPU whenever a User Interface (UI) for STM is not running. This version number appears if one of the following patches is installed on a version of IPR 9909: PHSS_20005, PHSS_20006, or PHSS_20007.

Major Changes: This is the same release as A.17.00 but with fixes for two problems with the Disk Hardware Event Monitor. In the first problem, system panics were reportedly caused by the disk_em monitor due to a trap 18 in the scsi3 driver; this situation was rare and impossible to reproduce. The second problem occurred when a misleading message was generated by the disk_em monitor when an unknown combination of Sense code, key and qualifier was received. This version number appears if one of the following patches is installed on a version of IPR 9909: PHSS_19538, PHSS_19562, or PHSS_19563.

Version A.16.01 is available for downloading over the Web from HP Software Depot. Version A.16.02 is the same product, but is installed via individual patches.

The arrow keys can then be used to select a menu or menu item, and the RETURN key can be used to expand a menu or invoke a command.
  • A new 'shortcuts' feature has been added to mstm which lets the user do frequently performed operations quickly. For example, to select all disks and then run the verify tool on them, the user would hit the keys 'dv<return>' while the mstm map is displayed. For a list of the shortcut keys, hit the '?' key while the mstm map is displayed.
