|
Sept 00, IPR 0009 (HP-UX 10.20, 11.00)
Objective: Minor bug fixes and enhancements.
Major Changes:
- Support added for many new devices.
- Many additional bug fixes.
- Two new monitors: UPS Monitor (dm_ups) and Remote Monitor
(RemoteMonitor).
- Converted several existing monitors to be multiple-view
(Predictive-enabled), including: A5158A Fibre Channel Adapter
Monitor (dm_TL_adapter) and Fibre Channel Adapters Monitor
(dm_FCMS_adapter).
- Modified the process whereby STM creates the system map,
to avoid a potential bug whereby modifications made as part
of the SAM LAN Management tools would be undone when the
systm map was being built. As a side-effect of this change,
customers will now have to manually perform an ioscan command
when they change the hardware on the system prior to
performing the "remap" command in the STM UI.
For more information, see release notes
(for 11.00,
for 10.20,
EMS.)

|
| A.17.10: |
|
Sep 99, IPR 9909 (HP-UX 10.20, 11.00)
Objective: Major bug fix.
Major Changes: This is the same release as
A.17.00 and A.17.05 but with fixes to several problems. The
main problem fixed is that on A.17.00 and A.17.05, the
diagnostic daemon "diagmond" can use a large percentage
(between 10% and 15%) of the CPU whenever a User Interface (UI)
for STM is not running. This version number appears if one of
the following patches is installed on a version of IPR 9909:
PHSS_20005, PHSS_20006, or PHSS_20007.
|
| A.17.05: |
|
Sep 99, IPR 9909 (HP-UX 10.20, 11.00)
Objective: Bug fix.
Major Changes: This is the same release as
A.17.00 but with fixes for two problems with the Disk Hardware
Event Monitor. In the first problem, system panics were
reportedly caused by the disk_em monitor due to a trap 18 in
the scsi3 driver; this situation was rare and impossible to
reproduce. The second problem occurred when a misleading
message was generated by the disk_em monitor when an unknown
combination of Sense code, key and qualifier was received. This
version number appears if one of the following patches is
installed on a version of IPR 9909: PHSS_19538, PHSS_19562, or
PHSS_19563.
|
| A.17.00: |
|
Sep 99, IPR 9909 (HP-UX 10.20, 11.00)
Objective: Minor bug fixes and enhancements.

models J5000/J7000 and B1000/C3000
- Added support for the HP Fibre Channel High Availability
Disk Array Model 60/FC (Product ID A5277A).
- New EMS hardware monitors: Disk Array FC60 Monitor
(fc60mon) and SCSI123 Monitor (sscsi123_em).
For more information, see release notes
(for 11.0,
for 10.20,
EMS.)
|
| A.16.03: |
|
Jun 99, IPR 9906 (HP-UX 10.20, 11.00)
Objective: Bug fix.
Major Changes: This is the same release as
A.16.01 and A.16.02, but with an additional fix for a problem
in the EMS disk monitor which could cause a panic. This version
number appears if one of the following patches is installed on
a version of IPR 9906: PHSS_19535, PHSS_19536, or
PHSS_19537.
|
A.16.01,
A.16.02: |
|
Jun 99, IPR 9906 (HP-UX 10.20, 11.00)
Objective: Same as A.16.00, but with fixes for
V-Class/DLT install problem (see below).
Version A.16.01 is available for downloading over the Web
from HP Software Depot. Version A.16.02 is the same product,
but is installed via individual patches.
Major Changes: This is the same release as
A.16.00, except that it contains a fix for the problem whereby
panics can occur during or after installing OnlineDiag from IPR
9906 CD-ROM on systems with V-Class or DLT tape libraries.
CAUTION: Do not load the OnlineDiag product
from the June 1999 Diagnostic/IPR CD-ROM if your system
includes a V-Class computer, a DLT tape library, or Predictive
Support. For problem description and fix, see the

|
Apr 98, IPR 9804 (HP-UX 10.10, 10.20, 11.00)
Objective: Minor bug fixes and enhancements.
Major Changes:
- 11.0 and 10.20:
- Added decode module cldecode and diagnostic tool
clicdiag for: 'Hyperfabric Card'
- Added decode support for lpmc hversions:
- Ultralight U SPU - 0x5B9 and 0x5BA
- Kittyhawk SPU - 0x58E
- Added information tool pci and diagnose tool wanhd
for: 'PCI WAN Interface' & 'PCI WAN Performance
Interface'
- 10.10 only:
- 'Pulldown menus' are now used instead of function
keys to initiate commands in mstm. The menu structure
looks very similar to that used by xstm. Use the 'Tab' or
'Menubar On/Off' funciton key to position the cursor in
the menu bar. The arrow keys can then be used to select a
menu or menu item, and the RETURN key can be used to
expand a menu or invoke a command.
- A new 'shortcuts' feature has been added to mstm
which lets the user do frequently performed operations
quickly. For example, to select all disks and then run
the verify tool on them, the user would hit the keys
'dv<return>' while the mstm map is displayed. For a
list of the shortcut keys, hit the '?' key while the mstm
map is displayed.
- Added expert tool lanhsc for: 'HSC LAN
Interface'
- Added expert tool lan5eisa for: 'EISA Token Ring LAN
Interface'

CAUTION:
Do not install patches PHSS_14401 through PHSS_14407, unless
specifically instructed to do so by support personnel. The
BEST SOLUTION is to not to load any of these
patches, but rather to load the latest version of the
diagnostics.
These patches will load an earlier version of STM to be loaded.
PHSS_14401 (10.01 S800) and PHSS_14402 (10.01 S700) load version
A.09.00. All other PHSS_1440x patches load version A.10.00.
Patches PHSS_17884, PHSS_17885, PHSS_17886, PHSS_17887 and
PHSS_17888 are the same as patches PHSS_14401 - PHSS_14406, but with
a script file in the patch depot which verifies that you are not
backdating your diagnostics by loading these patches on top of a more
recent version.
