最新的 PPU 使用情况报告保留在分区中。在 HP-UX 系统上,可在以下位置查看使用情况报告:
/var/ppu/PPUReport.xml

在 OpenVMS 系统上,可以在以下位置访问使用情况报告:
SYS$SYSROOT:[PPU]PPUReport.xml;*
该位置保留了前 50 个版本的使用情况报告。

在 Windows 系统上,可在安装 PPU 的目录中查看使用情况报告。缺省情况下,该目录为:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\ppu\PPUReport.xml

注释:如果断开 PPU 软件与效用度量工具之间的连接,则 PPU 使用情况报告就会被缓存到磁盘上的 /var/ppu/cache 目录(HP-UX 系统)或
C:\Program Files (x86)\ Hewlett-Packard\ppu\cache 目录(Windows 系统)中,直到重新建立此连接为止。断开连接后,PPU 软件会每隔 5 分钟检查一次连接情况。缓存的 PPU 使用情况报告已被加密,不能
查看。

如果用可以识别 XML 的浏览器打开 PPU 使用情况报告,则会使该报告更便于阅读,但请注意,如果可识别 XML,则会尝试访问 XML 文件中引用的效用度量工具。如果浏览器不支持 XML,或无法通过网络访问效用度量工具,则可以使用一种文本编辑器(如 Windows 写字板)打开该文件。

示例 4-1 显示了来自 HP-UX 系统的典型的 PPU 使用情况报告。对于同类型的使用情况,来自 OpenVMS 或 Windows 系统的报告可能在系统信息(例如 OSType 和 CPUType)方面有所不同。在 Windows 系统上,因为 PPU 的 Windows 版本是 V7.1,所以报告版本应为 1.0 且没有 IsHPVirtualMachine 条目。
