调整 HP SIM 配置参数

如果 VSE 管理软件使 HP SIM 超出可用内存量，可能会显示错误消息。

使用 HP Capacity Advisor，会出现下面的消息：

使用 HP Global Workload Manager 时，如果配置了事件，则会以紧急报警 HP SIM 事件（gWLM 事件）的形式显示下面两条消息。此外，还会将它们记录到 HP-UX 上的 /var/opt/gwlm/gwlm.log.0 中或者 Windows 上的 安装路径/logs/gwlm.log.0 中。

第一条消息警告用户堆容量已接近用完：

The reclaimable heap space for the HP Systems Insight Manager
JVM has exceeded the threshold of x%.  Of the y bytes of total
heap space z bytes are in semi-permanent use.  This may cause
a reduction in performance.

第二条消息指示堆容量已用完：

The reclaimable heap space for the HP Systems Insight Manager
JVM has exceeded the threshold of x%.  Of the y bytes of total
heap space z bytes are in semi-permanent use.  Please restart
the HP Systems Insight Manager using the mxstop and mxstart
commands to correct this condition. If this condition returns
it may indicate the need to tune the HP Systems Insight
Manager configuration parameters. Please see the VSE Management
Software online help or Getting Started Guide for more
information on tuning HP SIM configuration parameters.

HP 建议在使用 VSE 管理软件时将 HP SIM 堆大小设置为 1000MB。在自动安装/升级期间运行 vseinitconfig 会将堆大小设置为 1000。这是通过在文件 globalsettings.props 中更新/附加 JVMMAXHEAP 属性，并将该属性设置为为下面的值来实现的：

JVMMAXHEAP=1000

在 HP-UX 上，该属性文件位于 /etc/opt/mx/config/globalsettings.props。在 Windows 上，该属性文件位于 HPSIM_DIR/config/globalsettings.props。

如果很少出现该错误，重新启动 HP SIM（按照该消息的指示进行操作）通常即可消除该问题。

如果频繁出现该错误，则可能需要执行以下操作来排除故障：

将 JVMMAXHEAP 值增加到 1000 以上（有关 HP-UX 上的 JVMMAXHEAP 限制的信息，请参阅 www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/infolibrary/prog_guide/expanding_memory.html 并选择主题“Allocating physical memory and swap in the Java heap”。在 Windows 上，该限制是 1500，但根据进程中的代码量也可能会更低）。
限制并发用户的数量，避免并发执行大量任务（例如，在很长的时间段内生成包括多个系统的报告）

但是，如果重复出现该消息，则很可能反映产品出现问题，应该报告给 HP 技术支持。
