Oracle資料庫需要的檔案,應放置在所有RAC叢集節點均能存取的實體容體上。本節顯示如何利用SLVM或VERITAS CVM儲存設備群組規劃容體。

以SLVM規劃容體

Oracle資料庫的儲存容量必須以共用容體群組中之邏輯容體的形式提供。Oracle軟體要求每個Oracle應用例至少需有兩個日誌檔(一個Oracle9的undo tablespace)、數個Oracle控制檔案,和資料庫本身的資料檔案。對以上所有檔案而言,ServiceGuard Extension for RAC使用HP-UX原始邏輯容體,而這些邏輯容體位於叢集節點間共用的容體群組中。使用RAID模式的高可用性磁碟陣列,即可達到高可用性。各個節點可透過多重實體容體連結(PV連結,亦即替代連結)存取陣列上的儲存邏輯單元,這些連結提供通往每個儲存單元的備援路徑。

請填寫邏輯容體工作表,提供邏輯容體的名稱(使用lvcreate命令建立)。Oracle DBA和HP-UX系統管理者應一起準備此份工作表。僅建立共用容體的項目。輸入每個邏輯容體之原始邏輯容體裝置檔的完整路徑名稱。務必加上所需的大小(以MB為單位)。下列為工作表的填寫範本,不過,本範本僅供參考。檔案大小視Oracle資料庫版本的不同而異。若需空白工作表的範本,請參閱附錄「附錄 A 「空白規劃工作表」」。視需要複製多份,填寫工作表並保存以供日後參考之需。

以CVM規劃容體
